In the music business, the vast majority of people who rise to fame are performers. However, in some very rare occurrences, some people who principally work behind the scenes in the music industry have risen to fame. For example, at this point, Quincy Jones is an absolute legend mostly due to his work in the music industry even though he never has been known for taking to the stage himself.

Amazingly enough, Scooter Braun is another example of someone in the music business who has managed to become famous even though he isn’t a performer. A talent manager and record executive, Braun is principally known due to his role in shepherding Justin Bieber’s career throughout the singer’s time in the public eye. Unfortunately for Braun, in 2021 he filed for divorce from his wife of several years, Yael Cohen. With that in mind, it begs an obvious question, has Braun moved on since he filed for divorce?

Who Is Scooter Braun?

In the years since Justin Bieber first became famous, lots of people have heard the name Scooter Braun many times without knowing much about who he is. As Bieber’s talent manager, Braun has had a major influence over the pop star’s career from all accounts. Even though some people likely think that Bieber is Braun’s only client, Scooter is the agent for many other talents including Ariana Grande, J. Balvin, and Demi Lovato among others.

Aside from Scooter Braun’s accomplished career as a talent manager, he has also become a record executive and co-founder of TQ Ventures. Also the former owner of a holding company called Ithaca Holdings, Braun made a slew of investments with that company’s funds. Unfortunately for Braun and one of the biggest pop stars of this generation, one of those investments has resulted in a lot of anger between them and fans all over the world.

In 2019, Scooter Braun went from being famous to being infamous in a lot of people’s minds. When Braun’s company Ithaca Holdings bought Big Machine Records, Scooter became the owner of the masters from Taylor Swift’s first six studio albums. To say that Swift was upset to see Braun take ownership of so much of her music is a massive understatement.

In response to Taylor Swift’s anger at the fate of her masters, it was claimed that the famous singer had the chance to buy the recordings and didn’t do so. In response to that claim, Swift alleged that she tried to buy the masters but was never given a price. Either way, Scooter Braun’s feud with Swift has become a major part of his reputation.

Has Scooter Braun Moved After His Divorce?

As a result of the notoriety he has achieved during his career, Scooter Braun’s personal life has garnered headlines over the years. For example, there were headlines when it was learned that Braun was dating Yael Cohen in 2013, when the couple got engaged months into their relationship, and when they tied the knot in 2014. In the years that followed their wedding, Braun and Cohen welcomed their three children into the world in 2015, 2016, and 2018. On top of that, Braun and Cohen seemed very happy together throughout most of their marriage.

Much to the surprise of most observers, Scooter Braun filed for divorce from Yael Cohen in 2021. As of the time of this writing, it has been just over a year since Braun filed for divorce which makes it seem like the perfect time to look at whether or not Scooter has moved on from his marriage.

Unfortunately for anyone who wants to know if Scooter Braun has moved on from his marriage, in one sense there is no way to answer that question. Since Braun first became famous, the only woman he has ever been linked to in the public is his wife Yael Cohen. Considering that Braun had already been rich and famous years before he was linked to Cohen, it seems unlikely that Scooter never was involved with anyone before he fell for Yael.

If Scooter Braun dated anyone else after he rose to fame but before he got involved with Yael Cohen, the press never learned about those relationships or flings. Even if Braun was completely celibate before he got involved with Cohen, it is entirely possible that Scooter could be dating someone now and he is being discreet. With that in mind, the only thing that is clear about Braun’s dating life is that it hasn’t been confirmed that he has started a new relationship.

Putting aside Scooter Braun’s dating life, in other ways it is very clear that he hasn’t moved on from his marriage to Yael Cohen as of this writing. First off, unless the couple has settled without the press learning about it yet, Braun and Cohen are still in the process of working out the details of their divorce. As anyone who has ended their marriage will already know, it is nearly impossible to truly move on until the details of your divorce are ironed out.

Most importantly, there is one way that Scooter Braun will never be able to completely move on from his divorce. Since Braun and Yael Cohen share three kids, the former couple continues to co-parent now. Even once their kids grow up, Braun and Cohen almost certainly will rub shoulders at major events in their children’s lives. Fortunately for Braun, Cohen, and their kids, it seems like the former couple can peacefully co-exist. For example, after Braun filed for divorce, he was caught on camera hanging out with Cohen, their kids, and James Corden alongside the talk show host’s family.
